Honouring lives amidst nature’s serenity at Emerald Cemetery

Emerald Cemetery, located at 180 Macclesfield Road, Avonsleigh, VIC, is a tranquil resting place nestled within the lush greenery of the Dandenong Ranges. Originally known as Nangana or Macclesfield Cemetery, it offers a unique setting where natural bushland and memorial plantings coexist, creating a sanctuary for native wildlife and birds.

The cemetery is currently undergoing an expansion to its southern site, aiming to create a space of inclusion and remembrance that nurtures community connections. This development respects and preserves the local environment, including existing woodlands and Indigenous plants, and is anticipated to commence construction in late 2025.

Nature surrounds, memories endure.

At Emerald Cemetery, each memorial reflects a life remembered within the beauty of the Dandenong Ranges. We are dedicated to designing, crafting, and restoring headstones, monuments, and plaques with care and attention to detail – creating lasting tributes that honour each individual and preserve their memory for generations to come.

Compassionate service and a stunning final memorial. Thank you so much.
After losing our daughter, taking our time to design her memorial without any regrets was very important to us. Of all the companies we met with, James from The Headstone Company handled our consultation with the utmost care, compassion, and understanding.
James and his team were incredibly patient, offering helpful advice and options while never pressuring us. They listened closely and fully incorporated the design we had in mind. The finished memorial is absolutely stunning and is a beautiful, fitting tribute to our daughter that we are so happy with. They were truly wonderful from start to finish and the headstone is made to very good quality.

Thank you to this wonderful company for making a difficult and sad process so easy for us as a family. From start to end the process was seamless and the resulting headstone for our dad is beautiful and just as we envisioned.

The Headstone company did a beautiful job with our mum's headstone. They initially did a comprehensive quote, so we knew up front what the cost would be and their service and communication was good throughout the process. Highly recommend them.

Great work , reliable. Responsive to our questions and changes for inscriptions. Kevin had done the Headstones years earlier when our father and brother had passed, was an absolute gentleman,( not sure if he's still there but thank you so much for that Kevin). The inscripions we've had done with our mum's passing have been easy and stress free, they were done promptly with absolute precision and professionalism by their team in the field.

I highly recommend the entire team at The Headstone Company. They did a beautiful job with the inscription on Dad's headstone, perfectly matching mum's and replacing a stolen cross. The service was excellent and their attention to detail and professionalism throughout the process was greatly appreciated.
